Your Company Profile

The first step toward automated bookkeeping is setting up your company correctly in the system. This forms the foundation for all your future entries, VAT calculations, and integrations.

How to Do It

When you start the setup wizard or go to Settings -> Company Profile, you need to fill in the following:

  • Company Name: Enter the official name of your company as it appears in the business register.
  • VAT/Business Number: Enter your official business registration number (e.g., CVR in Denmark). This is crucial for identifying your company in external systems.
  • Address Details: Provide your company's physical address, including city and zipcode.
  • Country & Currency: Select where your company is registered. The system will automatically suggest the correct standard VAT rate and currency (e.g., DKK for Denmark) based on your choice.
  • Contact Information: Enter your business email and phone number.

Once you have filled in the details, click "Create Company" (or "Update Company") to save.

Why Is It Important?

Correct company information ensures that:

  1. Accounting Sync: Your bookkeeping data matches correctly with your accounting system (e.g., Dinero).
  2. VAT Compliance: VAT calculations follow the specific rules and rates applicable in your country.
  3. Reporting: Your financial reports, overviews, and exported journals display the correct legal information.
  4. Document Matching: Our AI uses your company name to distinguish between you (the customer) and your vendors when reading invoices.

Managing Multiple Companies

If you manage multiple businesses, you can add them all to your account. Use the Company Selector in the sidebar to switch between them. Each company maintains its own independent settings, bank connections, and document archive.
